Needle Felting Courses 2020
These will be a fun and relaxed workshop for 5-6 participants led by Jude Askey-Brown.
Easter chicks and eggs
Tuesday 24th March, 10am-12:30 £25
Saturday 4th April, 10am-12:30 £25
Learn to create some unique Easter gifts and decorations. This workshop is well suited to beginners and intermediate felters. You will learn how to create 3D and 2D shapes, attach felted shapes to the main body.
Owls on a branch
Tuesday 26th May 10am-12:30 £25
This workshop is well suited to beginner Needle Felters and a gentle introduction to the creative craft of needle felting. You will create a wonderful woolly felted owl on a branch and learn how to craft a 3D core structure, model appendages and add applique features as well as being guided through essential basic skills to be able to carry on confidently at home.
Woolly sheep
Tuesday 23rd June, 10am- 12:30 £25
Create a gorgeous woolly sheep. This workshop is well suited to beginners and intermediate felters. You will learn how to create 3D and 2D shapes, attach felted heads, legs and ears to the main body. We will use a variety of fleeces including curly locks to create a super woolly sheep!
Moon Gazing hares
Saturday 11th July , 10am-12:30 £25
This workshop is well suited to beginners. You will learn how to attach felted arms, legs and ears to the main body.
Hand dyeing wool and yarn
Tuesday 11th August 10am- 12:30 £25
Learn how to dye wool and fibre in an amazing range of colours using simple colour fast dyes, vinegar and a microwave. Great for creating your own colured fibre for needlefelting and other woolly crafts.
Sleepy mouse in a teacup
Tuesday 8th September
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those wishing to develop their needle felting skills. You will be learn how to attach needle felted parts together, mix colours and knit or sew a small blanket. In this workshop you will make an adorable sleepy mouse wrapped in a blanket snuggled inside a vintage tea cup.
Reindeer
Tuesday 13th and 27th October 10am-12:30pm £50
This workshop is suitable for intermediate felters and will run over two weeks. You will use a wire armature to create a Reindeer with antlers. You will learn how to create a wire armature, sculpt legs and body and blend wools to create a wonderfully festive centre piece.
Christmas gnome, penguin and Christmas tree
Tuesday 10th November 10am-1pm £30
This workshop is well suited to beginners and intermediate felters. You will learn how to create 3D and 2D shapes, as well as teaching you the basics of needle felting I will also be teaching new needle felting techniques and, introducing new wool to create dramatic effect
